CRPF gets record applications for jobs from Maoist-hit areas

CRPF

In 4568 Officer Post jobs in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) announced six Maoist-dominated states last year conventional 1.15 lakh applications. That is, about 25 application per post.

Sources say it was the first time CRPF had received such an irresistible response from the states and their tribal belt.

in the middle of candidates from Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, the CRPF has recruited 2207 men and 90 females (compared to 311 posts).

"The residual positions are available to applicant not meeting the educational and physical supplies. But a record number of applications showed tribal no longer afraid of the Maoists, and will be a associate of the CRPF to fight them," one officer supposed.

Another aspect hopeful was the number of female candidates. As many as 545 and 559 women from Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, solely for Constable posts.

A policeman said the female candidate came from places like Dantewada, Bijapur and Narainpur. "CRPF officers helped women fill out forms and gave them bodily training before they took the qualifying tests. A crash course in general information was also given to some women, to help them cope with the on paper exam. In all, 2002 women had sent in application, "an officer said.

It was also the first time so many women from the Maoist area sought CRPF jobs. "The trend shows people in the left-wing extremism-affected areas is tired of Maoist activities," Ajay Chaturvedi said CRPF orator in Delhi.

The mixture of space on the CRPF, one official said, is predictable to contribute to the force to make inroads in the Maoist under enemy control areas and win the battle against extremist.
